Most recently, he has worked in course development and lecturing in the tertiary education sector and has graduates succeeding at the highest levels in leading organisations in the music industry. Simon's varied entertainment industry experience gives him a deep understanding of the demands of highly competitive and often difficult industries and particularly enjoys working with start-ups to ensure that they are established with solid foundations.

Detailed CV:
From 1992-1998, Simon worked as a booking agent with Australia’s largest live music touring company and booking agency. From 1998-2005 he was Managing Director his own successful artist management company, responsible for financial, legal and business development operations. He also negotiated artists’ terms, developed recruitment and management policies and co-ordinated the local touring strategy on behalf of the agents and representatives of popular acts such as Killing Heidi, Frenzal Rhomb, Area 7, Tommy Emmanuel, Grinspoon, The Screaming Jets and the Violent Femmes amongst many others. A significant part of his time was spent liaising with councils, government authorities and others that were responsible for the planning, funding and project management of major events.
After a successful career in artist and event management, Simon moved into business management education at Australia's leading creative industries private education provider. From 2006-2016, Simon was Head of Department in Entertainment Business Management. Amongst other things, he managed human resources, developed ongoing policy based on industry developments, managed various staff and stakeholders, developed and maintained course materials and sat on the Academic Board.
Simon has also had extensive board experience. From 1999-2003 he sat on the board of The Push Inc., the Victorian Government’s peak advisory body on drug and alcohol free youth events and was also part of the inaugural Music Victoria Education Advisory Committee from 2011-2015.
