· Katya Ellis’ career began with customer-facing roles at Darrell Lea Chocolates, where she developed a deep understanding of consumer behaviour and the importance of effective customer service. This early experience provided her with valuable insights into the challenges businesses face in building strong customer relationships, which later informed her work in developing tailored strategies for small business owners.
After transitioning into a more analytical role as a purchasing analyst for Ford Motor Company, Katya gained a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, procurement, and operational efficiency. These skills equipped her with the ability to identify areas for improvement in business operations and offer practical solutions to the clients she mentors. Her ability to blend customer-focused and analytical approaches is a hallmark of her mentoring style.
In 2007, Katya took on the role of Director at Melbourne Textiles Agencies, where she specialised in apparel fabrics, further strengthening her expertise in brand management and marketing communications. Her career continued to evolve as she took on marketing leadership roles, including Brand Manager for Mina & Katusha and Communications Manager at Starfish Ventures, where she managed the marketing and communication strategies for a venture capital firm.
