Detailed CV:
Allan graduated from high school in 1971, then spent 1972-73 travelling. He had a brief stint at Caulfield Technical College in 1973 before becoming involved in operating a family manufacturing/import clothing business from 1974-1988. In 1988-89 he worked as a ‘turn-around’ consultant in the toy business and from 1989-2001 co-owned a retail clothing chain. Since 2001 Allan has been a private investor, mentored young disadvantaged teenagers, established a charitable foundation, sat on a number of private company boards and been an Angel Investor in ‘start-ups’, property investing and mezzanine finance.
