Detailed CV:
During his 32 years with the National Australia Bank, Michael spent extended periods in marketing roles from policy establishment to implementation, roll-out and management of the processes. At various stages he was also responsible for retail and business banking segments. In these capacities, he had direct involvement in retailing, marketing, sales administration, governance and human resource recruitment, training, incentivising and counselling.
During his banking career, Michael gained a good understanding of the financial sector, business financials and the way financial institutions look at a deal. He has served on the Board of a homeless persons’ respite centre in Fitzroy for seven years, as chairperson for the last two. This experience has helped him to develop an affinity for the Not-for-Profit sector.
Over the past few years Michael has successfully guided parties through stressful dispute/conflict situations in the workplace and gained mutually acceptable workable outcomes that have stood the test of time. He has been a small business Mentor for ten years and helped scores of clients in a wide range of sectors.
